Hi Momma!!
First off, y'all don't get to complain about the cold! It's
already freezing here!! Like for real I have no clue how I will survive winter! Anyways, the food is still great and the desserts are even better! It's actually
a problem haha. Last p-day we went to some shops in Chorley. It was nice to be
able to get away from the MTC, and be able to interact with real people! As much
as I love my district, it's nice to see some new faces! haha Thursday was a
normal day at the MTC, studying and and teaching and studying some more.
Friday was a
interesting day!!! We went into Manchester to go street contacting!!! I was so
nervous at first! I mean how was I supposed to talk to random people on the
street about the church?!?! When we got our there I was procrastinating talking
to our first person by eating lunch, but then sister Kim and I just did it!! We
talked to a ton of people, and it was surprisingly easy to bring up the church
to people! We didn't give away any copies of The Book of Mormon, but we did give
away a lot of pass along cards!! One cool experience from that day was the last lady
we talked to! Sister Kim and I hadn't talked to anyone in a while, and we wanted
to talk to one more person before we left! We said a prayer to find someone that
would listen to our message. while we were making our way back to the meeting
spot we both saw this woman and we both had the feeling we needed to talk to
her! Long story short she was the most amazing woman ever!! We talked to her
about how families can be together forever and how God loves us. She listened
to every word!! It was a super cool experience to have! Heavenly Father really
does answer prayers and he does lead us to those who are prepared to hear the
Gospel.
Saturday was also a normal day! We were all very tired after our long
day in Manchester. Sundays at the MTC are super chill! (well after sacrament
meeting at least) We don't know who gives talks in church so all the missionaries
prepare one and then president Preston just randomly chooses someone to speak. It's a bit nerve racking! Luckily I haven't been chosen yet, but sister Kim was!
She did such a good job though! After church we have tons of personal time! Sister Kim and I like to walk down to the temple! That's why there are so many
temple pics!! The temple here is so beautiful here!! I love living right next
to the temple! I'm going to miss it so much when I'm in Scotland! The rest of the
week has just been normal. sitting in a class room all day! I am doing so good mom! I love it here!! I hope all is
well in Georgia!! I love you guys!!!
Sister Kotter
