Week 46

Hey Mother Dearest!!

I't sounds like y'all had a party week!!! I cannot believe that school starts in two weeks! That is crazy!!!! I'm honestly in shock at how fast the time is going!!!

This week was a pretty awesome week! Our friend did get baptized on Friday! It was such a lovely baptismal service! She was a little nervous, but she did it and she looked so happy afterwards.  A lot of the ward came to support her which was really nice! After she was baptized she even shared her testimony. It was very simple, but so sweet!! It reminded me of how much God loves all his children!!
Earlier this week was a a bit rough. We were finding and finding and finding and nothing was happening... we were getting pretty discouraged, but we kept going and then the miracles happened!! We met the most amazing guy. He's from Mexico, and he is one of the most prepared people I have met! As we were teaching him, he pulls out his phone and his back ground is a picture of Jesus Christ hugging a man and he says "I want this more than anything" and we're like "yes, and the way you can have that is through baptism" and he's like "I want to be baptized." It was actually way more spiritual than it sounds, but it was really cool to see how some of God's children are so prepared!

Another miracle came on Saturday. We went to meet with a guy named Fahad, We totally forgot what he looked like so we walk up and  we see a guy standing there ready for the gospel. Sister Checketts waves and says "Fahad?" He looks at me strangely and shakes his head, no worries. we apologize and stand next to him to wait for this guy. Joseph (not Fahad) turns to us and says, "I always see you guys around, what do you do?" We told him really briefly what we do, he interrupted us and said, "I was just talking to my friend about changing my religion, how do I set up an appointment?" We pull out our planners and say let's do it right now! He was so surprised and happy! He asked if we could meet right then, but Fahad showed up, so we had to set up an appointment for this weekend. It was awesome!!

Over all it was a good week! It had ups and downs, but it ended on a really good note! I'm so happy to be serving here in Dublin, and to be able to help others around me experience the joy and peace I feel from this gospel! I love you tons, and I hope you have an amazing week!!!

Love you!!

Sister Kotter :)
