Week 58

Mom,
I was about to write the same first line you did!! Like legit the same line! I was going to start my email: I cannot believe its Monday again, and time to email!!! It feels like I was just emailing yesterday!! Goodness the weeks are going by so fast!!! But since you stole that opener from me, I now have no clue how to begin.

This week flew by!! We did the normal missionary things all week finding and teaching. On Saturday I was in Edinburgh on exchanges with the STLTs (sister training leader trainers). It's always fun to go to Edinburgh for a day or two, but I always love coming back to my area. I'm loving Dundee! Honestly, is reminds me of a big East Kilbride where I started my mission...so it has its pros and cons, but it's super Scottish! We even have an old guy in out ward that wears a kilt to church every week! Not just the kilt, but the WHOLE outfit, shoes and everything! It makes me happy!

I guess the big news for the week was Michael's baptism! Aw man, it was such a smooth baptism! He was also so happy! He kept saying thank you for today, and how good he felt! It makes all the cold rainy days worth it, to help the one person feel so close to God! We're now working to get him to the temple next month! We are so excited for his progress!!!

Sister Palmer and I are teaching some amazing people right now. If you want to pray for some people individually I would ask for prayers for Jessie and Joe! They are both preparing for baptism later this month! Jessie is form China, and is here studying! I absolutely love teaching people from China! It's such a fun process, and when they feel the spirit for the first time it's an incredible moment!! Joe is from England! Hes also super cool, and came to know God recently. He says he logically found god which is pretty interesting! They are both doing so well, but could always use the extra prayers.

So, everyone has been e-mailing me about this hurricane, but I honestly haven't heard anything about it! In fact the weather has been so good up until today..(it's a bit windy and rainy) I think we will be fine over here, so don't worry too much.

Funny story of the week :)
The lock to our door is really hard to open, and the other day we got locked IN our flat... talk about Satan trying to slow the work down! It was 10:15 and Sister Palmer and I were starting to freak out a bit, because we couldn't get our door unlocked...we kept trying and soon it's 10:30. At this point were looking for any other solution, because we cannot stay in the flat another minute, but the door was just not unlocking... so we had to jump out a window! Luckily we live on the first floor. I never thought I would have to break OUT of my flat! We were dying laughing!!

I love this work! I love helping others come closer to Christ! I've been continuing on my pursuit to keep my life Christ centered, and as I do this daily, more and more joy comes into my life!! I love my Savior and I love his gospel!! I hope y'all have an amazing week!!!

Sister Kotter

Dad,

Thank you so much for sending my your talk!! I love reading about faith! I'm sure you did a fantastic job giving it!! I love how you started the talk with temples! temples are so important in  this life!! I'm so excited to be able to go to the temple again! I'm so grateful I get to serve the Lord right now! It's been the best experience of my life! Thank you for helping to get me to this point. It's  because of you and mom that I am able to do any of this work! I don't tell many people, but Dad, this mission is intense! I know all missions are hard, but the Scotland Ireland Mission is one of the most intense there is. We are expected to baptize like we're in South America, but were working with stubborn people! It has the highest depression rates of all the missions, and President Donaldson expects so much of us. But I know that I can push myself, and do so much more than I think i can do! its crazy how the lord expects so much of us but that we can truly do what he expects of us!!  I"m so happy to be here! I'm so happy I get to learn and grow every day! Thanks for all your support and prayers!! Y'all rock!
