Week 78

Hello Mother!!! 

So this Sunday is Mother's Day here in the UK, so I thought I would take a moment to say Happy Mother's Day!! I love you!! 

This week the UK had a huge snow storm hit them!!!! It shut down the UK from Wednesday to Saturday some places even longer!! Fortunately, the only place it didn't hit was where I'm serving!!! unfortunately, we weren't allowed to use public transportation so we had to stay within walking distance of our flat/in our flat! That would have been all fine and dandy but we live in Stevenson! Stevenson is probably the sketchiest small little patch of houses in Scotland!! Needless to say chapping (knocking doors) here for 4 days was 1. super boring and 2. super unsuccessful, but we pressed on in the cold and chapped almost every house in Stevenson!! Once we were allowed to use public transportation again we went right to Irvine to GQ (street contact)! Still, no one wanted to talk to us because it was so miserable outside, but we were just so happy to be out of Stevenson!! It's funny how you appreciate something so much more after you don't have it for a while!! Now I really appreciate the bus system!! 

 

I also had my last conference this week! They made all of the dying missionaries leave the conference and have some going home training! It was defiantly not the spiritual uplift that I usually get from the conference, but it was alll really good information that I'm sure I'll use when I get home (also don't judge the pictures from conference I was sick and crying just a bit, 2 things that do not make pictures turn out well).

Update on Alec!! He has been off smoking for almost 2 weeks now!!! He is preparing for his baptism next week and bore his testimony at church yesterday!!! We're super excited for him and all the great progress he has been making!!! Keep praying everything goes smoothly please!!! 

Anywho! I love you all!! I am so grateful for this gospel it truly does change lives!! I feel so blessed to be able to see and be a part of  the gospel changing people!! It truly is an amazing thing!!
