ONE MONTH DOWN!!!! Only 17 more!!
I officially hit my one month mark on Friday and guess
what!?! We were blessed with a lesson and a commitment to baptism!! YAY!!! This
area is a hard area! There just aren't many people to talk to so we spend all
day finding! When we do set up appointments they always drop! Which is
kinda lame! I'm like come on guys if you knew how important this message is you
would be begging to come!! but the work is starting to pick up! We met the
members and the ward is amazing!! They are so missionary hungry! We have a
dinner appointment every day this week and people have already given us
referrals and want to come joint teaching with us! The success of this area is
really going to come through the members! There's this one member called Granny
Green! She is great! She already said she would cook us Thanksgiving dinner!!!
Ah, they are just all so great!!!
We have been blessed with sunshine all week!! Which makes me
so happy!! It hasn't really rained since my first week out, which has been a
total blessing since the work is going slow... but hey, I am learning how to be
rejected a million times in a row! It's actually really funny what some
people say to us! One man told us he was a happy atheist, and another told us
that we need God in our life... that one was weird because I was like hum I'm
wearing Jesus Christ's name on my badge... I'm pretty sure I have god... but ya
know I guess I can become closer to Him.
Over all things are great here!! I'm learning how to talk to everyone and I'm learning how to understand people that sound like they are
speaking gibberish so that's fun!! There's only a few times I can't understand
the people, but its getting so much better!! I'm learning how to teach from the
heart, and most importantly I'm learning how to rely on the Lord with all my heart
throughout my whole day!! Being a missionary is hard, but the blessings and
miracles I've seen have just been amazing!!!
Oh the doughnut is the most amazing thing in the world! It's an Oreo doughnut!! Ahh you have to try to find them!! Oh and find a recipe for
banoffee pie! its amazing and I think dad would love it!!!
love you tons!!

Daddy
I love you so much!!
That
letter you wrote and sent with me has gotten me through some rough days!! It
was inspired because each time I read it, it's exactly what I need to hear so, thank you!!!
I
will try to take more pictures the problem is we are working so hard
that I never have time!!! I'll work on taking more for y'all!!! I love how you're listening to the Book of Mormon!! That is so awesome!! That book is
amazing! I always knew it was great, but for real any passage can be
applied to our lives and help us!
I
was reading this week about how Nephi was bound by his brothers, and then the Lord loosed the binds so he could be free. I was thinking about myself. I
have felt like my tongue has been bound for a while now, but as I pray to the Lord he will loose those bounds so I can speak! Now it's never said He would
get rid of them that's my job, and where my effort comes in, but as I pray to Him he will loose them, and then I can have an easier time shaking them off! Trust me daddy, I have seen this happen!! I gave my first testimony is testimony
meeting! Can you believe that? It wasn't even hard or anything! It felt
natural, and like I was meant to be up there! After that experience it has been
so much easier to talk to people! I feel like I am finally coming to
understand that I am a messenger of God, and that I cannot keep my tongue bound! It's still hard, but its slowly happening!! You would be so proud!!!
I
love you daddy!! You rock!! Keep being awesome, and keep working to help the
missionaries!!
New
goal that will help with your other one! Try to share a simple testimony with
someone every day! It does not have to be long or even with a non-member just a
simple truth with anyone!!
Have
an amazing week!!
Love
you!!
