Week 18

Hey Momma!!!

Root beer floats on New Year's Eve
This week was a long week!! Long, but full of miracles! Monday was a holiday so we didn't do any missionary work. For some reason it's unsafe to do missionary work when everyone is out drinking... but it was a very restful day! The rest of the week was full of chapping (knocking doors)!! Everyone was still off work so we chapped and we chapped  and we chapped some more... we kept praying to find  a woman that would let us in the home to teach her, and all week we were just getting no after no, but we kept chapping!

Finally, Friday night right before our dinner break we knocked on this door and a Young Single Adult aged lady answered it. We were so excited because we thought she was the one to let us in, but she didn't. No need to fear, because Heavenly Father did answer our prayers, and Saturday night we found our woman! Her name is Lisa. We chapped on her door (she was on the top floor last door too... kinda reminded me of President Uchtdorf's Talk 😁) and she let us in!! We were able to teach her the Restoration, and she wants us to come back!!!! We are so excited!!! So yes, we chapped in the cold rain all week, but Heavenly Father answered our prayers, and let us into someone home. It was a real testimony builder of how much God really does love his children, and will answer their prayers.

I rode an elephant this week!
Being the new year, I have been doing the usual and setting goals, one of my goals is to let Heavenly Father change and mold me into the person I need to become! To accomplish this I have been setting weekly and daily goals as well! As a missionary we set lots of goals, but I have found a new love for daily goals! They keep you on track, and make sure you are doing everything you can to keep your life Christ centered!! It's so fun to see at the end of the day if you reached your goal, and it helps me stay positive and motivated!!

I love you so much!! I hope you have ana amazing week and a very happy 2017!!!! :) Love ya!!

Hey daddy!!!! I love you so much!!

So a mission has made me a more adventurous person. Less fear, and more faith. I think when I get home I'll have to try some roller coasters again! I mean I've had fish and chips like 3 times now, and I eat it all!! Now its still not my favorite, but I can smile and pretend its a doughnut.
It sounds like you guys had an amazing Christmas break!! That makes me so happy!! This week is my first normal week back, and boy does it feel good!! Everything has just been crazy, but now it's getting beck to normal! Thank goodness!!
I love you so much!! Ohh, I forgot I hit my 4 months on a mission this week! Can you believe that?? It's been 4 months already!!! It's crazy!!! Have an amazing week!!

Love ya!
Sister Kotter :)
