Week 19

Hello mother,

It Snowed!
This week was a very interesting week. Sister Smith had been praying for snow, and I had been wishing for a nice thunderstorm....Well, the Lord provides, and we discovered a new type of weather! It's called THUNDERSNOW!!! (I'm not making that up! It's really what the weather forecast said) so thunder snow is a very pleasant mixture of snow, hail, and a thunderstorm. It was probably one of the most terrifying moments of my life! We were out chapping, and it starts hailing a bit, not a big deal; we keep going hoping someone will take sympathy on us and let us in (we like the guilt card) hahaha but then out of now where a huge crack of lightning hits followed by the loudest thunder I have ever heard! Next thing we know we are in the middle of a blizzard with lighting and thunder all around us. We are being beaten up by hail. I couldn't even see Sister  Smith, and she was 2 feet away from me!! I thought I was going to die!! Then the Lord provides, and we see a flat complex in front of us... I have no clue where it came from because it was definitely not there before. We started to run to it (up hill by the way) ;) and I was just praying it wasn't a buzz in flat! When we made it there we were went in and we were able to take refuge from the thundersnow (while doing some flat chapping). When the storm finally passed we walked out, and it was completely sunny! The flat complex was also a buzz in flat. So the fact that we made it in was a miracle! All in all, thundersnow and blizzards are terrifying, but the Lord protects his missionaries, and we were safe from any and all harm! Well except the emotional trauma I might have form the rest of my life ;)

Other than that little adventure, the week was pretty normal. We chapped, and did some GQing. We also taught some lessons, and have some new investigators!!! YAYY!! We have plans to meet them again this week. Their names are Joseph, Alec, and June and Matthew! Please keep then in your prayers, so we can help them stay on the path to the temple!!!

Even in all this crazy weather, I am so happy to be here in Scotland!! I love being able to see how much the Lord loves each of his children! I have been studying a lot about being valiant, and I just think it's such an important quality to have!! Be Valiant for the Lord! Help Him build up his kingdom without worrying what anyone thinks but the lord! Always have confidence that he will be your strength!!! I love what Jessica said in her talk about ME+CHRIST=MORE, because its so true!! If you try to rely on your own efforts, you're going to get burnt out!! We need Christ to be our strength, and to help us!! I love studying and learning what I can do to become more like my Savior and my Father in Heaven!!

Moves call is on the 29th! I'm kinda nervous about what will happen. I'm pretty sure I'll be moved, but I really want to stay and keep building up the kingdom here!! Wherever the Lord needs me I'll go.

I love you guys so much!!! keep being amazing!! thanks for all your prayers and emails :)

Sister Kotter :)
