Week 20

Hiya Momma :)

This week was AMAZING!!!!!! So, it started out normal finding and teaching some, but Wednesday we had the most amazing Sisters Conference. All the sisters in the mission got together, and we just had a day of being spiritually fed and having fun! We talked about how we are daughters of the most high, it's so true, each of us are divine and we have an amazing heavenly father who loves us so much!! After the sisters conference Sister Smith and I were pumped to start working again! Friday we had the most spiritual lesson ever!! It was with our friend Alec. He is amazing!!!! He's not super religious, and doesn't know much, but when we teach him he just soaks it all in! He can't read so he downloaded the Gospel library app and he's listening to the Book of Mormon! Anyways, in our lesson we were inviting him to be baptized. He said he would really think about it because he wasn't sure if he could become a religious person. I then asked him to pray right there and ask God if he should be baptized ( I was a bit nervous because if he didn't feel something then it would be awkward...) But he said the most simple childlike, heartfelt prayer. Afterwards, we asked him how he felt and his face lit up! He said he had never felt this feeling before, but the feeling was "really good" we then read John 14:27 with him and asked him if it went along with what he was feeling. Obviously, it did and he now has a date for the 18th of February!!!!! 😁😁 It's so cool to help people be able to recognize the Holy Spirit, and help them learn about how much God really does love them!!!

Funny story :) well my life is pretty much just one big funny story right now! There's a saying that if it's not awkward it's not missionary work, and I can tell you that is true! The funny story of the week would have to be yesterday! Sister Smith and I were fasting (like we do every Sunday) but at about 3 we break our fast and eat a quick snack so we can keep working with full strength! Well 3 o'clock comes along and Sister Smith pulls out an apple, and I pull out my snack: a whole box of crackers a knife and jam! I was then sitting in the middle of the wet grass trying to make crackers and jam. It was a struggle... but I think the look on sister smiths face was the best! Because my snack totally one upped hers! Oh but I think the best part was Sister Smith took one bite of her apple, and then it fell on the ground! I of course shared my snack with her, but only after laughing at her for 2 solid minuets! :) (that story is probably one of those you had to be there moments but it was funny to me :))

All Sisters Conference: Daughter of a King
Overall, I am doing so good!! I Absolutely love the mission!!! When I left on my mission, I didn't think I would love it this much, but it really is amazing! There are a lot of hard times, but there are so many good times! The Lord blesses us so much, and I can see His hand in my life so much! I am learning and growing and becoming the person my Heavenly Father wants be to become! It's so cool!

Moves are next week, and I am nervous!!! Sister Smith and I both think that at least one of us is leaving! I would love to make it down to Ireland next transfer, but hey I'm good with what ever!! :

I Love y'all so much!! Thanks for all you do for me :)

Sister Kotter :)

Hi Daddy,

I've been needing that extra dose of charity, because I am definitely easily provoked!  As I have been studying humility and charity. My eyes have been opened so much! Yes, I'm not perfect, but I am better at letting the little things roll off! I think one of my favorite parts of the day is from 8am to 10am when I can study! It's so fun to be able to find ways to grow and improve, to become more Christlike, and then to apply them throughout the day!! I love you so much!! Have an amazing week :)
